Job Launchpad is a Chrome browser extension that lets users send selected text from any webpage to an AI chat service — such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Mistral, DeepSeek, or Qwen — with a single click.

This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how it is stored, and your rights over your data. We are committed to handling your data responsibly and transparently.

03 How We Use Your Data

Your email address is used solely for authentication — to verify your identity and manage your access to the extension.
Query logs are used to enforce admin-configured daily usage limits and to display usage analytics to administrators.
Selected text and page information are used only to construct the AI prompt you requested. They are never stored, analyzed, or shared by us.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the extension.

04 Data Storage & Security

All stored data (email addresses and query logs) is saved in Google Firebase Firestore, a cloud database operated by Google. Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored using Firebase's built-in security.

Firebase & Google

Your data is stored in Firebase Firestore, which is subject to Google's Privacy Policy. We do not operate our own servers. Access to Firestore is protected by Firebase Authentication and security rules that restrict each user to their own data only.

05 Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

Your data may only be shared in the following limited circumstances:

With Google Firebase, as the infrastructure that stores and manages authentication and usage data.
With administrators of your Job Launchpad instance, who can view usage statistics and manage access.
If required by law or to protect the security of the extension.

06 Data Retention

Your email address and account information are retained for as long as your account exists. Query logs are retained indefinitely unless manually deleted by an administrator.

Requesting Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at the email address below. We will process your request within 30 days.

07 Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your account and all associated data
Withdraw consent at any time by stopping use of the extension

08 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date at the top. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
